We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our client's team in Cork.
About the Role:- This is a permanent position reporting to the HSE Manager.
- You will be responsible for delivering HSE advice and support to site-based personnel and others.
- Deliver HSE advice and support to site-based personnel and others.
- Provide support and advice to colleagues, subcontractor personnel and other third parties.
- Properly report accidents, incidents, and near misses in an accurate and timely fashion and assist with investigations in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments as required and ensure that management personnel put appropriate action plans in place.
- Regularly review corrective actions arising from incidents, inspections, and audits.
- Ensure HSE policies and procedures are fully implemented and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Assist with the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate HSE lessons learned and other initiatives properly.
- Provide a proactive approach to problem solving and the various aspects of day-to-day health, safety, and environmental management.
- H&S qualifications and certifications.
- 2-3 years experience working with construction/civils contractors.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation and an ability to evaluate current and emerging trends in health and safety management.
- Self-motivated and able to quickly resolve issues, integrating well into a project team.
A competitive salary of €45k - €60k negotiable dependent on experience.
A full-time permanent staff role with great career prospects on Dublin-based projects.
