Bracken Recruitment are working with our South County Dublin Client to recruit an experienced IT Manager with strong people management experience to join their organisation.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage the IT department, providing an excellent level of service to the organisation in line with business needs and industry best practice.
  2. Successfully manage and lead a team of 10+ skilled IT professionals including various team leads.
  3. Responsible for controlling a multi-functional IT department making decisions on day-to-day and long-term business objectives.
  4. Report to senior management and communicate with the business stakeholders on all IT matters.
  5. Continually liaise with other departments in the organisation to assess their IT needs and devise solutions that best address those needs.
  6. Plan the implementation of new solutions and provide guidance to the IT team and managed service partners and other staff within the organisation.
  7. Responsible for the integration and smooth running of Website – ERP – WMS systems, ensuring all data and information are processed through these systems efficiently.
  8. Manage all elements of ICT service delivery ensuring the availability of a fully functional, reliable and secure ICT environment.
  9. Ensure that appropriate levels of governance are in place for IT Management in the delivery of services and projects.
  10. Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory and security standards.
  11. Develop and implement IT strategy in support of the company's mission and strategic objectives.
  12. IT Vendor Management and procurement including negotiating service level agreements and managing vendors to ensure agreed targets and standards are met.
  13. Prepare and implement policies, procedures and standards relating to IT systems, services and frameworks in line with industry best practice.
  14. Overall responsibility for IT Security & Disaster Recovery.
  15. Prepare and manage the IT Budget ensuring spend is prioritised in line with company objectives.
  16. Project management (Infrastructure rollout / consolidation / upgrade projects).
  17. Participate in process improvement initiatives across the business.
  18. Keep up to date on new technologies in IT that may benefit the organisation.

Experience and Skills

  1. Proven IT Management experience including 10+ years IT experience, with strong emphasis on people management, providing an excellent and proactive level of service to the business.
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, enhance, support and develop an IT team of 10+ staff.
  3. Strong stakeholder & communication management and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining expected levels of quality.
  4. Project Management skills and experience in using structured project management frameworks with demonstrated successful project delivery.
  5. Good business process knowledge and proven experience in using technology to improve efficiency.
  6. Strong vendor management and relationship management skills.
  7. Strong understanding of INFOSEC requirements with an emphasis on cyber security.
  8. Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
  9. Excellent communications skills.
  10. Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives and managing complex IT projects.
  11. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  12. Ability to think strategically and execute operationally.
  13. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and challenging situations.
  14. Ability to identify potential partnerships, evaluate their value, and develop a plan to establish and grow the partnership.
  15. Experience in maintaining and testing an organisation's disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  16. Awareness of Data Protection legislation and its impact on ICT.

IT qualification and experience:

  1. Bachelor or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISM, PRINCE II).
  3. A minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
