Position Overview:

As a Postal Courier Person at USPS, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the postal service. Your responsibilities will include selling stamps, processing incoming mail, sorting and distributing mail, and performing various clerical duties. Additionally, you will assist the public with general mailing needs such as completing change of address forms, managing mail hold requests, and providing post office box services. Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Responding to customer inquiries and complaints regarding mail delivery issues, such as lost or misdirected mail
  • Mail Handling: Selling stamps, minimizing the risk of lost or misdirected correspondence through efficient mail sorting and distribution
  • Clerical Duties: Performing administrative tasks, such as responding to queries from colleagues and customers
  • Public Assistance: Helping members of the public with postal activities like changing addresses or temporarily suspending mail delivery
