Stafford Fulfilment Centre

£29,000, 37.5 hours, Rotating Shift Pattern

The safety, cleanliness, and preservation of our Fulfilment Centres are of the utmost importance to us. To ensure that only the best products reach our pet care centres, we are seeking a Pest Control Technician to join our Site Facilities team at our Fulfilment Centre in Stafford.

The Role
We are seeking a skilled Pest Control Technician to provide comprehensive pest control services for Pets at Home commercial premises. Reporting to the Site Services Contract Manager, you will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and implement safe work practices. Key responsibilities include developing cost-effective solutions, generating income, prospecting for new clients, preparing quotations, and supervising pest control activities. You will also conduct pest control surveys, manage service contracts, maintain accurate records, and provide expert advice on pest prevention. Additionally, you will oversee stock levels, equipment safety, and waste disposal, ensuring all duties align with company policies on health and safety, equal opportunities, and information governance.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting thorough inspections of our new Fulfilment Centre at Stafford to identify pest infestations or potential risks to establish the type of pests involved and the extent of the infestation. Using your knowledge and experience to humanely apply pest control methods in order to eliminate or control infestations, complying with safety regulations and guidelines. Maintaining detailed digital records of all activities including treatment plans and follow up recommendations. Using your people skills to always deliver exceptional service, to all stakeholders, acting as a brand ambassador for the business and demonstrating a high level of professionalism and integrity. Maintaining all equipment through regular cleaning of equipment, handling and storing chemicals safely

What you will bring

BPCA/RSPH qualified in Pest Management to Level 2 as a minimum. Knowledge of pest identification, behaviour, and specific removal methods. Ability to handle and apply products safely and responsibly. Have good people skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a range of people. Technological proficiency - with the ability to document works digitally with a good attention to detail. Ability to work at height and in confined spaces if necessary. Aligned with our values & behaviors. Be able to work rotating shifts 6:00-14:00/14:00-22:00
