We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM's global Product and Technology organization.
SiriusXM's new Dublin facilitywill comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM's streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.
What you'll do:
- As a senior software engineer, you'll design and implement complex components of projects independently.
- Provide direct guidance to junior developers by breaking down complex business problems into manageable technical solutions.
- Support team members by sharing successful practices, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to established development processes.
- Help junior developers approach problems effectively, fostering a mindset of innovation and structured problem-solving.
- Lead technical discussions to advocate for and reinforce the use of proven architecture patterns and successful practices.
- Ensure that solutions align with established architecture patterns and technical guidelines to maintain system integrity and scalability.
- Guide and encourage the team to follow high-level standards across design and development, reducing technical debt and improving maintainability.
- Analyze business requirements and recommend resilient technical solutions that improve system performance while staying within the existing framework.
- Maintain modern and scalable web applications by leveraging SiriusXM's technology stack within the given architectural constraints.
- Work with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to ensure that user-facing products follow consistent design principles.
What you'll need:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
- 7+ years of experience developing scalable, high-volume web applications.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Angular Engineer at an enterprise level.
Technical Skills:
- Expert level proficiency in Angular (v18+ preferred), including a deep understanding of its practices and commonly used modules.
- Strong command of TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Solid grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Proven ability to create custom, reusable modules and components to extend core Angular functionalities.
- Experience with CI/CD environments like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency in writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests using frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, or similar.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple levels of the web application stack.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Excellent collaboration skills with UI/UX and Product teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Additional Qualifications:
- A growth mindset with the ability to learn quickly.
- Exposure to architectural design patterns of highly scaled web applications is advantageous.
- Experience building responsive and mobile web experiences is beneficial.
- A solid understanding of web standards, successful practices, accessibility, and browser compatibility issues is desirable.
