Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Psychotherapist to join our team. This role will involve providing therapeutic interventions for individuals with ADHD, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to client care and service development. Your expertise will support our mission of delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to those navigating ADHD and related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual and group psychotherapy tailored to clients with ADHD and related conditions.
- Client Support: Develop and implement personalised treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client.
- Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Client Education: Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families to support their understanding of ADHD and effective coping strategies.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Service Development: Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing ADHD care services, contributing ideas for new approaches and programs.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Master's degree in Psychotherapy or a related mental health field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, with expertise in ADHD and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Professional Registration: Must be registered with an accredited body, such as the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP), or equivalent.
- Skills: Demonstrated experience in therapeutic modalities effective for ADHD (e.g., CBT, mindfulness-based therapies), strong clinical assessment skills, and treatment planning.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively support clients and collaborate with team members.
