Daffodil Care Services are currently hiring Full Time, Part Time & Relief Social Care Workers for our new mainstream residential service based in Newcastle, Co. Tipperary.
Who we areDaffodil Care Services is one of Ireland's leading social care service providers providing a range of services to meet the needs of young people and their families, these include registered residential, and aftercare supports and services as well as community outreach.
As a Social Care Worker and working as part of a team you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities in the residential unit and work in close collaboration with the Social Care Leader and Manager in creating and maintaining a warm, accepting and secure environment for the young people in your care and will play a key role in the delivery of the highest standard of therapeutic residential services.
What We Can Offer You- Attractive starting salary package for our Full time Social Care Workers €39,567 - €42,895 per annum for SCW (depending on experience) inclusive of sleeping time and premiums.
- Incremental salary scale.
- Typical schedule of 2 X twenty four-hour (sleepover) shifts per week for full time staff - can be a combination of sleepover and 12 hour shifts to suit the needs of the service.

Minimum Level 7 qualification (degree) or above in one of the following:
- Social Care.
- Social Work.
- Psychology (Level 8).
- Child & Adult Psychotherapy.
- Youth & Community.
- Teaching.
- Nursing.
- Social Science.
- Counselling.
- Addiction Studies.
- A full driving license.
- Experience of working with vulnerable young people and youth and families in the community or residential setting.
OR
- If you are eligible to register with CORU as a social care worker.
A full driving licence is a mandatory requirement.
