The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and empowerment of our global online community to create and enjoy content across all our applications by heavily investing in human and machine-based moderation to swiftly eliminate harmful content.

About The Role

Join the TikTok HR team as an HR Generalist dedicated to working with the Trust & Safety Operations teams, a full-service organization focused on fostering trust and confidence in safeguarding user data and content assurance. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding company and contribute to shaping the TikTok employee experience.

As an HR Generalist, you will collaborate with various local and regional stakeholders to support the continuous growth of EMEA Trust & Safety Teams. Working alongside HR Business Partners aligned with Trust and Safety, your responsibilities will involve providing support to teams by specializing in performance management, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances & trainings for Managers.

Additionally, you will partner and collaborate with HRBPs and Managers at the Trust & Safety London site to deliver exceptional HR solutions, emphasizing employee relations, grievances, and employee engagement initiatives. The role also includes following a hybrid work schedule, requiring office presence 3 days a week, subject to manager/department directives. The employment is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract, ending on 31st December 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with your assigned business unit to develop a profound understanding of the business strategy and implement high-quality HR practices within the team.
  • Collaborate with line management, offering HR guidance on staffing, talent development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Take ownership of complex employee investigations, grievances, disciplinary issues, and provide coaching to business leaders on effective management strategies.
  • Design and deliver training for managers on performance management policies and tools, providing ongoing coaching and support for daily activities.
  • Coach and mentor business leaders to cultivate a strong community of leaders focused on achieving business objectives.
  • Act as the ambassador of TikTok's organizational culture, organizing and executing cultural activities.
  • Participate in headcount planning, management, and recruitment activities based on business needs.
  • Support the administration of key employee processes and systems.
  • Improve, implement, and assist leaders in understanding and implementing human resources policies and procedures.
  • Assist employees and managers with daily inquiries or policy advice.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of HR generalist or HRBP experience in a global company.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR and employment law, advantageous to have experience in multiple EMEA locations.
  • Hands-on experience in employee relations and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, independently prioritize tasks to achieve key business objectives.
  • Experience in building relationships and influencing individuals across all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR experience in e-commerce, technology industry, or BPO considered a plus.
  • Strong communication, engagement, and influencing skills.
  • Self-motivated, diligent, responsive, accountable, and resilient.
