Job Summary

Department: Central

Reports to: Head of HR

Contract Type: Fixed term (6 months)

HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR department during a period of organizational change. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, enhancing governance practices, and supporting various HR functions. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR compliance and governance, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with relevant local, state, and federal laws.
  • Conduct regular checks of HR processes and systems to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks to enhance HR practices and processes.
  • Maintain and update employee records in accordance with data protection regulations.

HR Operations:

  • Assist with the administration of HR programmes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Provide support in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.

Change Management Support:

  • Support the HR team in executing change management strategies and initiatives.
  • Assist in communicating changes to employees, ensuring clear understanding and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Help manage the impact of organizational changes on employees, providing support and resources as needed.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting employee engagement and well-being.
  • Assist in conducting employee surveys and analyzing results to identify areas for improvement.
  • General HR Admin and Facilities Management
  • Assisting with organisation of CSR activities

Talent Acquisition and Development:

  • Support recruitment efforts by assisting with job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Help coordinate onboarding processes for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the company.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CIPD membership is a plus
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in the tech industry
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance, governance, and employment laws
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
