eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a Senior Security Engineer/Analyst.This is a daily-rate contract position located with our client in Dublin. Hybrid options avaialble.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
  • Perform both internal and external security audits.
  • Analyse security breaches to identify the root cause.
  • Coordinate security plans with outside vendors. Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise cybersecurity and IT risk management program.
  • Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
  • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
  • Stay current on IT security trends and news.
  • Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related IT field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CompTIA Security+

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a security analyst/engineering role.
  • Proven experience in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
  • Experience planning, researching, and developing security policies within an organisation.
  • Cyber Forensics / Data Analysis using ELK stack experience.
  • Microsoft Defender Technologies.
  • Experience working in information risk and security-related best practices and awareness of the policies, standards, and regulations. (e.g. in areas such as IEC 27001, IEC 62443, NIST CSF and NIS Directive).

Skills:

  • Knowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, injection, hijacking, social engineering, etc.
  • Proficient in firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, web proxy/web gateway, Cloud Application security and Security Audits.
  • Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • An in-depth understanding of ICT systems with particular reference to cyber threats.
