Job Description

This position reports to the Executive Director - Head of Corporate and Regulatory Services at MUFG Fund Services Ireland. The Corporate and Regulatory Services team is globally oriented, supporting clients' administrative and fiduciary service requirements. The Irish team will cooperate with the existing Cayman Trust team and may aid in their functions. The role aims to establish an Irish and European presence in the Trustee market, providing an exciting opportunity for the candidate to expand our influence. Primary responsibilities consist of the following:

  • Ensure legal setup and compliance of the Trusts with relevant authorities. Approval of Trust Deeds and associated agreements (CLO management, paying agents, custodians)
  • Act as a fiduciary representative for Trust investors.
  • Supervise and lead a group of Trust administrators, fostering collaboration and ensuring ongoing stability, development, and success
  • Identify and address any process risks or gaps, collaborating with management and the team to enhance processes when needed
  • Support and contribute to the implementation of any changes in management processes
  • Collaborate with the team to manage all Trust-related risks that could expose MUFG to liability, ensuring adherence to Trustee fiduciary duties. Retaining ultimate asset ownership
  • Timely payment of all regulatory fees annually
  • Invoice trusts for trustee services and follow up on overdue payments
  • Monitor Trust investments or disbursements to ensure compliance with the Deed terms. Oversee compliance reporting by admin and other relevant parties
  • Track all income and distributions, maintaining accurate records. Ensure agents meet indenture obligations and provide precise investor information
  • Assist in annual audits as necessary and ensure filed audited financials
  • Maintain orderly agreements and document filing
  • Adhere to due diligence and anti-money laundering regulations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the trust or corporate services sector
  • Comprehensive understanding of trust and corporate structures, relevant statutory obligations, and local laws
  • Demonstrated success in technical and intricate transactions, showcasing excellent technical proficiency and knowledge sharing within the business
  • Thorough grasp of trust and company administration and its interaction with other business areas and roles
  • Familiarity with anti-money laundering regulations, compliance laws, and trust formation documents
  • Offer technical and other support to the Client Integration Team and affiliates as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Degree and/or ICSA Qualification is a plus
