Procurement Manager

Our Client in the North County Dublin area is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. A competitive salary and benefits package are on offer.

The Role:

  • Lead the Procurement brief and take responsibility for the Procurement budget in various areas such as capital expenditure, manufacturing materials, planning, construction, packaging, and resources.
  • Develop purchasing strategies for the department.
  • Pre-qualify and onboard new suppliers, assess existing suppliers regularly, negotiate agreements and prices.
  • Assist in budget planning and management, policies, and practices.
  • Monitor cost reduction, continuous improvement with suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Manage the internal purchasing system, ensure accuracy, and provide necessary reports.
  • Research best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery, and quality.
  • Coordinate between suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments.
  • Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policy and legislation for high compliance rate.

The Person:

Looking for a challenge in their career, the ideal candidate should come from a similar background and meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Degree Qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent Communication and IT Skills.
  • Experience in ERP Systems (SAP Desirable).
  • Knowledge of business process improvement.
