Why this opportunity is significant

The Manager will drive and execute the procurement category strategy and operations in BT's Category Management, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Business Partnering practice. This position involves nurturing strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key suppliers to ensure top-notch procurement delivery and ongoing value creation.

BT operates the 2nd largest fleet in the UK with over 30,000 vehicles on the road daily, constructing or connecting customers to our Networks. This position will oversee the management of over £300m globally for this category during an exciting period as BT shifts its Fleet to EV. The role also entails supervising a team of 1-2 FTE.

What the role entails as our Procurement Manager:

  • Managing £300m in spend
  • Developing and steering the Category Strategy for Fleet in collaboration with Internal Stakeholders
  • Aiding in fulfilling BT's sustainability agenda as the company transitions to EV
  • Engaging with Business stakeholders to meet objectives
  • Supervising a team of 1-2 FTE

Qualifications sought in our Procurement Manager? You may possess a combination of the following:

  • Proven track record of meeting targets as a Category Manager/Procurement Manager
  • Experience in overseeing a Fleet category, with expertise in transitioning a fleet to EV being advantageous
  • The ability to lead and work independently while also collaborating with others
