Description OverviewOur Procurement team plays a crucial role in our business. Currently, we are seeking a 'Global Indirect Sourcing Manager' to join our experienced Indirect team. This role involves delivering value across various Key Categories within Scientific Affairs, including Research and Development, Clinical Studies, Clinical Trials, Product Testing, Laboratory Supplies, and Laboratory Outsourcing/Insourcing.
This is an exciting time to come on board, with a highly rewarding opportunity to work alongside a motivated team that is poised for growth, learning, and making a significant impact on our business.
Location: Dublin Office.
Hybrid working model, with 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote work.
Scope of the Role- Savings – Review and manage category spend to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.
- Benchmark best practices and industry trends with internal and external partners to generate savings and value creation opportunities.
- Develop and implement Category Strategies in collaboration with key internal and external partners.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to lead major initiatives and projects.
- Represent Procurement in cross-functional initiatives, such as spend and vendor consolidation related to M&A activities.
- RFx Project Management – Oversee the end-to-end Category Management process through collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Contract Management – Collaborate with the Procurement Legal Team and External Counsel as needed to handle contract redlines, business terms, and ensure governance compliance with corporate and departmental policies.
- Establish Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SoWs) for procured goods and services.
- Supplier Performance Management – Monitor and evaluate service delivery and performance within designated categories.
- Reporting – Conduct spend analysis and manage budgets effectively.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing high spend, complex Global RFx processes with proficiency across all sourcing stages, particularly in Scientific Affairs Procurement.
- Understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability objectives.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a Sourcing Category Management role.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant business field is preferred.
- Proficient in English.
- Familiarity with best practices and current industry trends to identify synergies across multiple categories using a holistic perspective.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proven track record of achieving significant cost savings targets and enhancing working capital.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.
- Thorough understanding of Contractual Terms and Conditions.
- Continuous improvement mindset and drive for operational excellence.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of SAP/Ariba is advantageous.
