About Cheeverstown: a voluntary organization offering a variety of services to nearly 400 adults with intellectual disabilities in Templeogue, South Dublin, and Kildare.

The ID Care Assistant helps individuals live their best life through tailored support focusing on meaningful experiences, skill development, and community integration.

Requirements and Role:

"I am in my Sixties, living in a shared home. I am looking to hire a dedicated staff member to support me in living well.

I prefer a calm environment, good communication skills, patience, flexibility, and assistance in maintaining an active lifestyle and independent living skills. Support in engaging with the local community and hobbies is also important. I have a passion for Art."

The ideal candidate should have:

  • QQI/Fetac Level 5 Healthcare Assistant with experience supporting individuals in their own home/community.
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Full driver's license.

Additional Experience:

  • Ability to empower individuals to achieve their goals through person-centered services.
  • Good organizational and computer skills.
  • Passion for providing social support to enhance quality of life and bring value to each day.
