Mechanical Chargehand

Your new company:

One of Ireland's fastest growing M&E Contractors that have been working in the mechanical field in the greater Dublin area for the past number of years. They have delivered projects in commercial, industrial and fit-out sectors. They are now looking to appoint a mechanical chargehand to work on a commercial project based in Dublin city centre. The company have a healthy pipeline work all the way into 2024.

Your new role:

Report directly to the mechanical supervisor who you will assist in running of large scale mechanical projects. You will be responsible for running a section of a project and have a team of plumbers, apprentices and sub-contractors working for you. Responsibilities include managing day sheets, ordering materials, updating the PM on progress, managing subcontractors, attending site meetings etc.

What you'll need to succeed:

1. You will hold a trade qualification in a mechanical discipline such as plumbing, fitting etc...
2. You will have experience working for a mechanical contractor and have experience in supporting the management of mechanical projects.
3. You will have experience in the installation of mechanical building services.
4. Due to the immediate nature of this role, you will need to be eligible to work in Ireland / Europe to be considered.
