  • This is primarily a customer support role in The Cloud.
  • Support Engineers are responsible for resolving customer cases using various channels such as telephone, email, and live chat. Utilizing advanced troubleshooting techniques, you will provide tailored solutions and engage with customers to identify the root cause of issues.
  • Aside from addressing technical issues, an AWS Support Engineer may mentor new hires, deliver training, collaborate with development teams on complex issues, or contribute to process improvements and initiatives.

  • Support engineers interested in travel may conduct training sessions at various sites or AWS events.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good Knowledge/experience in administration and troubleshooting for one or more of the following:

Database engines:
MySQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL/MariaDB /SQL Server/Amazon Aurora.

  • Good Knowledge of database installation process
  • Good Knowledge of relevant database clients
  • Good understanding of Database engine agnostic fundamentals
  • Experience performing basic optimization of database
  • Knowledge of HA & DR topologies for databases
  • Understand database migrations
  • Knowledge or experience of working basic OS and Networking database related issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
0-2 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge/experience in Database troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge/experience in setting up monitoring/alarming for production DB environments.
  • Database migration and ETL knowledge/experience.
  • Experience setting up monitoring/alarming for production DB environments.
  • Database migration and ETL experience.
  • Experience with NoSQL technologies like DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra or Riak.
