ABOUT THE JOB

  • As a Machine Learning Platform Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team providing a Data Science platform for TUI Group to utilize. With expertise in cloud engineering and development, a strong DevSecOps mindset, and excellent collaboration skills, you will work with your team to meet our customers' needs and take full responsibility for the platform, from design to operation. You prioritize the quality of your work, including thorough documentation and security aspects.
  • You will leverage your technical skills to construct and manage the Data Science platform within a team environment. Your experience in developing and maintaining technical platforms will enable our business development teams to operate more effectively, integrating your machine learning knowledge along the way.
  • You will assist other teams in adopting your platform through direct involvement, ensuring operational readiness and observability of the service you provide.
  • You will continuously enhance CI/CD and automation efficiency, engaging in hands-on work to cover the entire development cycle from design to deployment.
  • You have the ability to articulate your thoughts and ideas, taking the lead in turning concepts into results. Working with different teams, you will explore, assess, and test new approaches, processes, and tools to support their effective utilization.
  • You actively contribute to Communities of Practice, participating in collaborative projects. You thrive in an international, multicultural environment, providing constructive challenges and maintaining high standards of technical excellence, ownership, and self-organization at both team and personal levels. You embrace learning, staying updated on the latest developments in your field of expertise.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in managing highly available, distributed systems and services in a cloud setting, designing and implementing technical operation processes across teams and markets.
  • Desire to establish self-service capabilities for platform users.
  • Proven hands-on proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and handling scaled cloud systems with a focus on solution architecture, utilizing various tools and services, infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps, and security engineering practices.
  • Strong familiarity with AWS Sagemaker, AWS Bedrock, and DataDog.
  • Extensive expertise in CI/CD, particularly Gitlab CI.
  • Experience in managing Kubernetes is highly beneficial.
  • Successful track record in Data Science projects as a Machine Learning Engineer.
  • Customer-oriented, dedicated to delivering exceptional digital products and services.
  • Passionate about continuous enhancement, teamwork, and collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills along with effective communication abilities.
  • Understanding of the social and ethical implications of software engineering.
  • Frontend experience in React or a similar framework.
  • Open-minded, curious, and committed to lifelong learning.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and highly independent in your work.
