Overview

With the constant growth of digital data and the need to use data effectively to solve various problems we face, Microsoft is expanding to meet these challenges. The Azure Data & AI team is looking to hire experienced Azure Technical Specialists to join their agile and diverse team focusing on Data Platform (Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric) and AI technologies (Azure OpenAI Services, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning).

The primary objective of the Microsoft Technology Specialist - Azure Data & AI role is to guide customers in choosing and utilizing Microsoft technology and cloud services. The Specialist is expected to assist technical evaluators and decision makers of customers in making informed decisions and identifying new opportunities. By being part of this team, you have the opportunity to enhance your technical expertise in various cloud-based technologies, contributing to your career growth and deepening your proficiency in cloud services. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications from Microsoft or other platforms and technical pre-sales consulting experience or a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Specialized knowledge in Data-specific areas like SQL Server, cloud deployments, Open-source databases, Data Governance, etc.
  • Hands-on expertise with relevant products and technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure and competitive cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in Dutch language.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in relevant technologies or disciplines, software development practices, understanding of partner ecosystems, and certifications in Azure technologies.

  • Experience in software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains and container orchestration systems.
  • Ability to leverage partner solutions to address customer needs.
  • Certifications in Azure Data, Analytics, and Big Data technologies.

Fluency in Dutch is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discussions with customers, utilize demos and programs to understand their needs and showcase how Microsoft solutions can help.
  • Build technical strategy aligning customer vision into a strategy, resolving concerns, and translating technology complexity into business impact.
  • Drive technical assessments to create migration plans and build a strong business case.
  • Design solutions using technical expertise to win customers' decisions, conduct POCs, and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow expertise in Data Modernization, Analytics, Data warehousing, and AI technologies.
  • Be an Azure platform evangelist for Data Warehousing scenarios and analytics solutions.
  • Scale through partners by liaising between partners and account teams, supporting partner technical capacity.
