Key Details

Seeking a full-time Lab Technician to join the Technical Services Department at our Microbial Solution Site in Dublin. The chosen candidate will manage microbial and LAL testing samples in the laboratory utilizing various technological platforms.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct LAL testing for assigned studies, covering a spectrum of techniques like gel-clot, kinetic, and PTS.
  • Perform IQ, OQ, PQ of lab equipment like Biotek, PTS, and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Execute contract testing for Celsis and LAL including various studies as necessary.
  • Carry out activities related to isolating, cultivating, and preserving bacterial cultures.
  • Manage bioburden testing, membrane filtration, and cleaning validations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and departmental protocols.
  • Assist with inventory management, lab upkeep, equipment maintenance, and instrument calibrations.
  • Aid in developing and updating standard operating procedures and qualification documents.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field.
  • Experience: Over 2 years of experience in a microbiology lab setting; familiarity with cGMP preferred.
  • Other: Proficiency in Windows programs, basic algebra knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Primarily works in a stationary position but also moves around the lab/office when needed.
  • Communicates effectively and can operate a computer.
  • Capable of manual handling and wearing PPE per company standards.

Work Environment:

  • Works in a lab setting with potential exposure to various hazards.
  • May work with sharp objects, chemicals, biohazards, and more.
  • The work environment usually has a quiet to moderate noise level.
  • Must adhere to safety protocols and wear protective clothing when in the lab area.
