Job Summary

We are currently seeking a full-time temporary Technical Support professional to work within the Technical Services Department. The role involves processing customer and test samples in the Technical Services laboratory using various technological platforms like Celsis and Endosafe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact with customers to offer support for testing, address any queries, and resolve issues related to the Celsis and Endosafe product lines.
  • Aid in handling product returns and complaints. Document these occurrences as per the standard operating procedures (SOP) and site-specific GDP requirements.
  • Notify quality assurance in Dublin and Charleston-USA of customer complaints, assist in investigations, conduct necessary testing, and provide updates on status and resolution to customers.
  • Conduct IQ, OQ, PQ of lab equipment such as Advance II, Biotek, Cartridge readers (MCS and PTS), and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Assist in training internal team members, ensuring all training sessions are documented as per site-specific SOPs.
  • Carry out contract testing for Celsis and LAL, including method development studies, method validation studies, accessory release, CSE/RSE, LAL water, etc., as needed.
  • Perform laboratory tasks to isolate, cultivate, and maintain bacterial cultures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (cGMP, FDA, ISO) and departmental procedures (SOPs, safety protocols, biosafety regulations).
  • Update and review SOPs, protocols, and other controlled documents for Technical Service, aligning them with all applicable GMP regulations and internal policies.
  • May engage in inspections and audits.
  • Prepare sample testing reports for customer distribution and peer review reports following SOPs and Protocols.
  • Compile and present process metrics for Technical Service activities like contract testing, complaints, RSE/CSE testing, Service Cloud, quality management reviews, tracking and trending meetings, etc. Analyze data to identify any anomalies and recommend necessary actions.
  • Use best practices for data review and analysis (e.g., Statistical review, Minitab, PowerBI). Training will be provided when required.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.A. /B.S.) in Microbiology / Biology or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience as a Microbiologist. 2 years of experience in areas like quality systems, data review, metrics collection and reporting in a GMP/GLP environment. A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered in place of the specified requirements.
  • Other: Advanced computer skills are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Attention to detail and organizational abilities are vital.
