AIB Group Internal Audit IT Apprenticeship (Specialist)

Role Title: IT Audit Apprentice - Group Internal Audit

Location: Molesworth Street, Dublin 2 h ybrid working, with the option of working from regional locations in AIB's Regional Hubs (Cork/Galway & Waterford)

This role is being offered on a 23-month contract basis. As part of this role, the successful candidate will complete their 2-year apprenticeship college modules with the NCI. Any employment offers for this role are subject to the candidate also participating in their apprenticeship qualification with the NCI.

We are seeking applications from ambitious professionals who are keen to pursue an opportunity as an IT Audit Apprentice. The audit team is based in Dublin. Direct experience in the areas outlined would be an advantage but is not a specific requirement.

We're looking for someone who can:

  • Participate in audits from beginning to end including planning, testing and reporting
  • Support the identification of key risks and related controls at the audit planning stage and the active investigation of root causes of issues
  • Support the annual planning and continuous monitoring of processes by participating in stakeholder meetings
  • Support the completion of quality issue assurance within the required timelines
  • Support the Audit Lead in developing independent insights and updates to business stakeholders
  • Facilitate collaboration across GIA by working together to actively seek out new ideas and different perspectives.
  • Maintain a knowledge of GIA's audit methodology standards, processes and AIB organisational structure.

  • Have a willingness to undertake a professional IT audit qualification.

  • Have good communication skills.

The educational requirements for this role are a minimum 2.2 at Level 8 or higher.
