The Role

Bristol-Myers Squibb External Manufacturing seeks to hire a permanent Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Global Product Development and Supply. In this role, you will lead Strategic Procurement responsibilities for externally manufactured BMS products, delivering strategic sourcing solutions from pre-launch to product life cycle stages. Primary focus areas comprise Small and Large Molecule Drug Substance, Drug Product Development, and innovative modalities such as CelMOD and ADC. Collaborate with various departments to align sourcing strategies, execute sourcing initiatives, and enhance supplier relationships.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Procurement responsibilities with selected strategic suppliers
  • Provide hands-on leadership on sourcing projects and negotiations
  • Develop End to End strategic sourcing solutions
  • Develop and manage key category budget owners
  • Ensure excellence in delivery of procurement initiatives
  • Support Business Supplier Relationship Management
  • Drive highest standards of excellence in category strategies

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:

- Ability to operate and influence at executive levels
- Expertise in sourcing for API and/or Drug Product/Biologics manufacturing technologies
- Experience building and leading a team
- Extensive experience in Procurement and External Manufacturing Management
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong Strategic thinker
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to travel to different company sites
