We are excited to expand our skilled finance team by welcoming an accomplished Payments Team Leader. This position entails overseeing and guiding Payments Specialists to ensure precise and prompt processing of payments for vendors, employees, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in a similar role, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Payments Specialists, offering guidance, training, and support for optimal performance and professional development.
- Supervise accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, payroll transactions, and manual payments.
- Review payment requests for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization before processing.
- Generate regular reports and key performance indicators for management evaluation.
- Identify areas for process enhancement, propose solutions to streamline disbursement procedures, improve accuracy, and boost efficiency.
- Minimum of 3 years in a Payments Specialist role, with a solid grasp of financial regulations, compliance standards, and payment process best practices.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, coupled with analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Keen attention to detail, prioritizing accuracy and data integrity while meeting deadlines and effectively managing tasks.
- Proficiency in IT, with a preference for experience in banking platforms and familiarity with COINS (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and adapt to changing priorities.
