Exploring the Business

Technology plays a vital role in all aspects of AIG's operations, spanning from risk assessment to claims processing. The DevOps Engineering Practices team at AIG oversees the streamlined design and operation of the company's IT software delivery workflow, focusing on enhancing efficiency and integration from Ideation to Release. DevOps engineers collaborate with developers to manage code deployment and operations personnel to ensure system functionality. They work towards unifying and automating processes, combining code, application maintenance, and management while understanding global DevOps principles, practices, and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing current application systems and processes to enhance CI/CD deliverables
  • Implementing new DevOps development tools and infrastructure
  • Communicating stakeholder needs to developers
  • Collaborating with app team developers and IT partners to create SDLC pipelines for code releases
  • Developing specification documents
  • Testing code and analyzing results
  • Addressing CI/CD-specific technical issues and providing software updates
  • Participating in project planning and management decisions
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, and Native OS scripting
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows Fundamentals, and command-line operations
  • Experience with Infrastructure and Container management
  • Familiarity with DevOps Toolchains such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, and Artifactory
  • Understanding of Cloud Computing, including AWS Services and Kubernetes
  • Basic Database Management skills, including SQL scripting
  • Experience in Testing, Security, or Middleware
  • Understanding of Agile principles and SAFe Agile framework
  • Expertise in Continuous Integration and Delivery
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Aptitude for applying DevOps and Agile principles
