We are currently looking for a skilled Setting Out Engineer to join our client, a leading construction team.

As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring precise measurements and positions on construction projects. Your expertise will keep our projects on track and in line with architectural plans, guaranteeing the accuracy of our construction work with your attention to detail and proficiency with surveying instruments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys to set reference points and elevations
  • Establish sites and excavations accurately according to architectural plans
  • Utilize surveying instruments like total stations and GPS receivers for measuring angles, distances, and heights
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Ensure precision in construction site activities, making adjustments when necessary
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and construction teams for efficient project completion
  • Offer technical support and guidance to team members as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Setting Out Engineer in the construction sector
  • Proficiency in surveying instruments, including total stations and GPS receivers
  • Sound understanding of architectural plans and technical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Great communication and teamwork skills
  • Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with relevant software like AutoCAD
