Purpose of the role:

As a Senior Occupational Therapist specializing in Neurology, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy services for inpatients and outpatients. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor services to patient needs, maintain care pathways, and supervise other therapists and assistants to ensure top-notch professional development.


Overview of role:Key Duties and Responsibilities of Senior OT
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of clinical standards
  • Evaluate and enhance Occupational Therapy services
  • Manage caseload and treatment plans
  • Supervise and allocate work to staff
  • Promote team morale and diversity
  • Ensure quality documentation and communication
  • Participate in education and training activities
  • Contribute to service plans and quality initiatives
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments
  • Attend and represent the department in various meetings

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREDEssential:
  • Registered Occupational Therapist with CORU
  • Hold an approved Occupational Therapy qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification clinical experience
  • Experience in Neurology and related conditions
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills

  • Membership in relevant professional bodies
  • Specialized experience in complex seating and cognitive assessments
  • AMPS certification
