SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Merit Medical strives to find the best talent and continuously improve its employee experience through engagement and development, which ensures company success, growth, and attractiveness. Merit Medical Europe, which consists of Ireland, France and the Netherlands (~1200 employees) and is headquartered in Galway. We are now looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to provide senior level support in various areas of Human Resources.
  • Promote a culture of wellbeing, Health & Safety, and professional employee services within Merit Europe.
  • Demonstrates a big picture understanding of a manufacturing business, its interrelations, and priorities.
  • Interacts with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Lead and manage various projects throughout the business and implement initiatives.
  • Work with Operations & Functional Support leaders, to forecast talent requirements for a period of days.
  • Manage meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis and present at Tier 4 when required .
  • Provide employee relations support, including conflict resolution and disciplinary action.
  • Coach and mentor individuals or teams on a specific competency or subject matter.
  • Present key updates, trends and analysis to the HR and Leadership Team.
  • Assist in development/implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the HR function is up to date on all recent and current legislation.
  • Support Compensation and Benefit activities.
  • Performs other related duties and tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • A minimum of five years general Human Resources experience.
  • Relevant experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • A general knowledge of all facets of the human resource function in organizations.
  • High level of employee relations experience.
  • Ability to interview / select employees at all levels, resolve concerns and obtain employee information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise incisively and demonstrate teamwork capabilities.
  • Excellent IT /Communication skills including the use of social media, writing, proofing, and editing skills.
  • Comfortable with Data analytics, Project Management, Advanced Excel, and Workday.
  • Ability to work well with Senior Leaders and answer questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Experience working on organisational transformation projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under strict time constraints.
