Commercial Lines Pricing Actuary

New opportunity for an experienced Pricing Actuary to join our skilled Commercial Lines Pricing Team in Dublin. In this role, you will provide actuarial information, advice, and services to support profitable business development and operational management across all Commercial Lines.

You will be involved in developing actuarial and statistical models, conducting detailed analyses, and contributing to business development and change activities. Collaborating with underwriting colleagues, you will deliver tailored actuarial advice and services, interacting with various departments such as claims, data analytics, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gathering necessary qualitative and quantitative data for analytical and modeling purposes.
  • Building and operating actuarial and statistical models to meet business requirements.
  • Analyzing information to identify trends and anomalies, explaining and referring issues as needed.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of rating algorithms and platforms.
  • Preparing reports, forecasts, and other outputs to set standards in terms of timeliness and content.
  • Supporting product development, portfolio management, and corporate transactions through actuarial analysis.

Requirements:

  • Mathematical or statistics 3rd level qualification or equivalent.
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, VBA, Word, PowerPoint, and SAS.
  • Five years of work experience in financial services (Insurance experience preferred).

Regulatory Requirements:

  • Compliance with the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011 for controlled functions.
