ROLE SUMMARY

EP&S is embarking on transformation to an Agile Infrastructure Operating Model. An experienced and talented Agile Coach (Manager) is key to supporting t his journey and enabling success. The Agile Coach will work with a team who are both new to Agile and other with some experience , providing supportive and dynamic leadership will be key to success both in the role and for EP&S.

The Agile Coach role is accountable for ensuring teams obtain the maximum business value using Agile through effective application of lean mindsets and framework. Fostering a community of Agile expertise , this role provides value to our internal and external EP&S stakeholders and supports teams in creating breakthroughs for Patients . This colleague will work with a team of Agile Coaches to establish and sustain best practices to ensure the team lives agile values and principles and understands the processes and practices that allow teams to enjoy the benefits of living in Agile ways, measuring and supporting their progress and continuously improving.

Working with across talented teams of functional and technical experts, the candidate embodies Agile practices and values, helping to drive EP&S Agile Infrastructure transformation that empowers Pfizer's customer-oriented vision.

This Manager-level position requires an individual with a proven ability to lead/coach teams, globally, across a variety of technical disciplines, delivering results that meet and exceed stakeholder expectations. This is an individual contributor role .

Demonstrated experience educating various roles and levels of people on Agile principles, provide training sessions and teach skills that lead towards organization-wide adoption of Agile framework.

Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective partnerships with all levels of team members.

Educate and train colleagues and stakeholders across EP&S on A gile principles, providing them with tools to help reduce waste and drive improvement and accountable for training teams and establishing continuous improvement mindsets that allow for the organization-wide Agile adoption.

A ct as a change agent working collaboratively with EP&S Product and Service owners to motivate and drive change and facilitate communities (chapters) using Agile principles to ensure sustained adoption.

Support planning and setting team vision, goals, scope for EP&S product /service teams , ensuring strategic alignment to EP&S and Pfizer strategy.

Work with EP&S Scrum Masters acting as a coach, mentor and educator supporting EP&S as it transforms to an Agile Infrastructure Operating Model.

Support creating a framework and guidelines to develop Agile coaching capabilities in EP&S coaches including criteria for the coach's role, knowledge requirements and pathways to help the m get there.

Train and coach EP&S colleagues o n new or enhanced behaviors needed to sustainably lead and enable Agile teams. Acts as advocate for Agile ways of working, influencing stakeholders and leveraging constructive relationships across the company to achieve the needs of the business units involved.

Coach P roduct O wner s to refine the Product vision , establish goals and metrics , create user stories and break down stories.

Facilitate discussions and conflict resolution in order to improve team productivity while always promoting continuous improvement

Continually promote transparency in the organization via information radiators, status reports, and use of standard communication tools

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology Management, or relevant disciplines.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a n Agile Coach (Scrum and Kanban) helping a global organization transform to adopt Agile ways of thinking and working

Working knowledge of agile methodology , techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions .

R elevant experience as an information technology professional in roles such as a technical project manager, systems administrator, database administrator, systems engineer, computer engineer or support specialist, engineering lead, technical team lead.

Proven experience in coaching teams and programs through the adoption of Agile practices and principles

Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore the best possible solutions influencing mindset and behaviours , including senior leaders

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish relationships, influence outcomes, and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences.

Excellent skills in planning, analysis, oral and written communication, consensus building, facilitation, negotiation, and the ability to readily learn a new business area.

The ability to lead and inspire with imagination, courage, and curiosity in a complex, matrix environment with virtual teams and indirect resources geographically distributed.

The ideal candidate will have one or more coaching level certifications from industry-recognized scrum, scaled agile, Kanban and Kaizen certification bodies, Scrum Alliance, Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), SAFe Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), etc.). (for example, Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) and/or Certified SAFe Program Consultant).

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Travel may be required as part of this role . Expectations around travel will vary but you will need to be capable of travel within the region and to other regions.

Our business is a 7x24x365 endeavor. This role may on occasion require physical or virtual participation on a weekend, holiday, or after normal business hours.
