My client a leading innovator in the manufacturing industry, excelling in the production of high-quality plastic products is recruiting an IT Systems Administrator. This job is a permanent role, based in Co. Westmeath.

We are seeking applications for a skilled IT Systems Administrator to join a dynamic team and contribute to enhancing operational efficiency and streamlining our processes.

As the IT Systems Administrator, you will be the cornerstone of the IT operations, providing crucial technical support across various departments. The IT Systems Administrator will play a pivotal role in the implementation and management of the new ERP system. Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Manage vLans and subnets to maintain the company network and switches.
  • Oversee Active Directory Management for server applications.
  • Maintain SQL Server, including daily reporting and data transfer using SSIS packages.
  • Daily maintenance of the IP Office and phone systems.
  • Collaborate with department heads, vendors, and consultants to gather and exchange information.
  • Manage vendor relationships, monitor performance, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Liaise with vendors for support of onsite applications
  • Assess infrastructure requirements, system integrations, data migration, and customization needs for the ERP system.
  • Work closely with all departments to address technical needs.
  • Develop strategies to facilitate user adoption and minimize disruption during the ERP transition.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, promoting best practices.
  • Install and maintain computers and devices (PCs, phones, handheld devices).
  • Assist with the implementation and management of the new ERP system, ensuring smooth operation, adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards
  • Purchase IT and related equipment.
  • Conduct Business Intelligence Reporting using Cognos BI.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Systems Administration.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and related technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills. .
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
