Currently, they are seeking a talented Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join our team based in Dublin, Ireland, to contribute to their nationwide gas contract.

As an EC&I Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our gas infrastructure projects across Ireland. While the role is primarily based in Dublin, occasional travel to other locations within the country may be required for site visits and project coordination.

You will possess a strong technical background in electrical, control, and instrumentation engineering, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project management.

EC&I Engineer Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional engineering license or chartered engineer status preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in EC&I engineering, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, Function Block Diagrams).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and project meetings.
As an EC&I Engineer:
  • Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and components for gas infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement control strategies for gas processing and distribution systems. Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Specify, install, and calibrate instrumentation devices for monitoring and controlling gas flow, pressure, and quality. Conduct periodic inspections and maintenance to ensure accurate measurement and performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design to commissioning.
  • Identify potential hazards and risks associated with electrical, control, and instrumentation systems. Develop mitigation strategies to minimize safety risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for equipment and systems. Maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and project milestones.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in EC&I engineering. Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
The Package:

The salary is negotiable but will start from €75,000. Laptop and Phone, Pension Plan, Life Insurance, Income Protection, Bonus 37 days holidays & CPD.
