Job Description

We're looking for a Technical Operative to support maintenance systems in a high-end facility. This role involves planned, predictive, and corrective work on the building's plant and equipment to extend their lifespan. You'll assist the Estate Manager in managing the FM function. Responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out preventive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance.
  • Responding to emergency breakdowns of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Operating and maintaining mechanical, BMS, and HVAC equipment.
  • Maintaining business critical systems and creating a robust Business Continuity Plan.
  • Liaising with and assisting Hard Services contractors.
  • Servicing gas-fired boilers in residential areas.
  • Providing maintenance support, updating records, and implementing continuous improvement.
  • Controlling costs and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Supporting day-to-day management of Hard Services.
  • Liaising with equipment suppliers for installations and updates.
  • Updating maintenance systems and promptly reporting issues.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensuring proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems.
  • Assisting in setting up for events in public areas.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as the role progresses.
Qualifications

Candidates must have:

  • Senior Mechanical Trade Qualification.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in M&E Facilities.
  • Knowledge of various equipment and systems.
  • Experience in a five-star development.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in IT systems.
  • Client-focused mindset and commitment to corporate values.
  • Positive attitude towards work.
