Creating Peace of Mind by Pioneering Safety and Security

Allegion seeks a dynamic Senior Firmware Engineer to lead firmware development for assigned modules within a larger system. Responsibilities include firmware specification development, architecture, design, debugging, code reviews, documentation, testing, and other engineering tasks. The role involves meeting deadlines and objectives effectively.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, develop, and debug firmware for electronic products and systems.
  • Create embedded modules meeting design attributes.
  • Enhance existing designs and source code for a modular structure.
  • Document designs and unit test cases comprehensively.
  • Validate design components to ensure functionality aligns with requirements.
  • Collaborate with domestic and international teams.
  • Adapt quickly to changing requirements and new feature requests.
  • Demonstrate leadership by guiding and mentoring junior resources.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • BE or M Tech in Electronics and Communication/Computer Science Engineering
  • 5-7 years of experience in embedded electronics firmware design and development
  • Proficient in C programming, with a bonus for understanding Assembly language
  • Experience in full Software Development Life Cycle
  • Familiarity with microcontroller architectures, especially ARM based controllers
  • Skilled in writing device drivers for microcontrollers (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.)
  • Knowledge of version control systems, emulators, and debuggers
  • Experience with RTOS and wireless protocols
  • Background in cybersecurity, cryptography, and security technologies
  • Exposure to home automation, access control, and security products
