Description
BDO Irelands Audit Department is growing, and we have an open vacancy for a Manager within our Financial Services Team. You will join an experienced team and work with a diverse portfolio of clients across various financial services sectors, including asset management, aircraft leasing, securitisation, special purpose vehicles, and pension schemes.

We are looking for an ambitious, high-achieving Manager seeking a new challenge in a growing and forward-thinking Audit Department. This position offers opportunities for progression, challenging projects, and learning and development in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities & Relationships
  • Manage a portfolio of clients of variable sizes across the financial services sector.
  • Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients.
  • Coordinate and project manage the allocation of staff resources to jobs.
  • Lead teams on the planning; execution; and completion of audits
  • Provide technical auditing and accounting assistance to team members and clients.
  • Report directly to partner/director on engagements
  • Assist with managing the team's financial performance e.g. agreeing and billing of fees; cash collections; monitoring recoverability of WIP etc.
  • Will be involved in the design and delivery of technical training.
  • Participate in the coaching, mentoring and appraisal of staff.
  • Manage and coordinate proposals for new work.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE
  • Strong experience leading audits in the Financial Services Sector
  • Can demonstrate strong technical auditing and accounting skills, including knowledge of the ISAs and IFRS
  • Positive attitude and a high level of personal drive
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to handle challenging deadlines and function effectively in changing circumstances
  • Proven management skills and behaviours
  • A strong market/commercial awareness
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, and able to manage and motivate teams with team
