As a Sales Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in optimising the sales coverage of the territory by identifying sub territories, segments, sub segments, applications, competitors and (potential) customers and prioritising these into Sales Plans with specific goals and objectives.

Major Job Functions

  • Champion the unique benefits that Real Energy provides to customers by continuously seeking to improve Finning Power Rental's understanding of their needs and collaborating across the business to delivering the best solutions
  • Develop and execute a Sales Plan for the segment and territory which meets the agreed objectives using all the tools available e.g. digital platforms, lapsed accounts, prospects and portfolio history.
  • Ensure regular interaction, face to face and telephonic, with each identified (potential) customer to ensure that Finning Power Rental is trusted and top of mind when our services are needed.
  • Ensure that proposals are drafted for identified potential tenders, rentals and projects, which are operationally, technically and commercially viable.
  • Actively engage with the customers for any open quotes, seeking opportunities to negotiate and win the customer ́s signed rental agreement and ensuring that the appropriate administration is completed.
  • Design, implement and manage framework agreements for specific customers.
  • Gather and provide information on the portfolio so that we can proactively identify and react to the customer's future needs for applications and services.
  • Monitor the territory for risks and opportunities arising from customers, competitors and other areas, and develop appropriate plans to secure them.
  • Develop and improve commercial, technical and applications competence to remain a trusted advisor to customers.
