VP Procurement

Our client is looking for a VP Procurement to join their Dublin office.This candidate will play a critical role in their dynamic and multi-regional team of aircraft and engine leasing technical professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide material support for the company's owned and managed aircraft assets on lease globally.

What you'll be doing:

• Coordinating and facilitating pricing support for the commercial team during used aircraft marketing campaigns.
• Ensuring the efficient and effective planning of materials for the commercial management of aircraft transition projects, focusing on successful budgeting, cost control, and execution.
• Spearheading the development, drafting, updating, and implementation of departmental policies and procedures to bolster an effective materials planning program.
• Supervising negotiations for comprehensive contractual agreements with vendors, maintenance providers, and other service providers as required.
• Nurturing effective and professional relationships with technical counterparts at OEMs, service providers, and fellow leasing companies.

What you'll have:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technical procurement within the aviation industry, Airlines, or MRO, coupled with a Business Degree or equivalent.
• Ideally, prior managerial experience, demonstrating the ability to build lean, efficient teams, and establish systems, processes, and procedures for materials, engineering, BFE procurement, and vendor management.
• Experience with procurement budget management.
• A history of building strong relationships with top-tier vendors, shipping agents, and freight forwarders, as well as expertise in end-user certification and vendor credit approvals.
• Experience liaising with customer configuration and lease transition support teams within aviation manufacturing leaders, providing technical specifications, and aiding in the transition of used aircraft.
• Proficiency in managing procurement system budgets, initiating purchase orders, and efficiently processing invoices from suppliers and contractors.
• A history of successful material project management for used aircraft deliveries/redeliveries, including experience managing projects in the Americas, EMEA, and South East Asia, which would be considered advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
