The role in Infrastructure Operations is a dynamic role for one of Ireland's most successful life assurance companies delivering positive change to the company across a variety of areas and initiatives. The role provides an opportunity to use and grow your technical abilities across a wide variety of platforms and maintain relationships with our infrastructure partners enabling and support our services

In this role, you will:

The infrastructure operations role supports and coordinates as the SME for Infrastructure Services for New Ireland which underpins application and end user services used by colleagues, customers and outsourced providers

  • Oversight of the technical estate supporting New Ireland Applications
  • Lead IT related issues and risks efficiently.
  • Member of Incident Management on call team providing 24/7/365 support to minimise service interruption to New Ireland Assurance and our Customers
  • Monitor and input into key service metrics.
  • Driving continual improvements across both New Ireland Assurance and vendor teams to ensure ongoing optimisation of performance of services
  • Lead and support Business Continuity Management agenda for New Ireland Assurance
  • Supporting the operational and change activities for Infrastructure services for New Ireland Assurance
What will make you stand out?
  • Technical knowledge and experience, ability to understand and articulate sophisticated technical issues
  • Operational experience in technologies such as but not limited to network (Firewalls, Switches, Load balancing), Storage, VMWare/Citrix, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products, Exchange and Telephony
  • Demonstrated experience in an IT led service model
  • Solid grasp of cloud hosting services such as AWS, Azure, Office 365
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal. (non technical and technical)
  • Customer Service Focus
  • Service Now Experience
  • Experience in an 1st or 2nd line support role
  • Incident and Organisational Change experience
  • Experience in maintaining relationships with 3rd Party suppliers
  • Business Continuity Management (Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning)
