Responsibilities
  • Liaising with partners to update and implement the firm's knowledge management plan
  • Organizing the provision of personal development training including managing Beauchamps' bespoke leadership development program
  • Managing and coordinating the preparation and publication of content on the firm's on-demand CPD hub (B-Learn) and knowledge hub (B-Aware)
  • Monitoring, circulating and briefing fee earners on new cases, forthcoming legislation, and legal developments across all practice areas; coordinating the preparation of a monthly knowledge bulletin
  • Overseeing and leading the knowledge management team;
  • Preparing and assisting in the preparation of articles and/or editing articles for external/website publication
  • Managing and coordinating the updating of the firm's precedents
  • Coordinating monthly departmental know-how meetings
  • Undertaking and dealing with legal research queries from fee earners, analyzing new/specialist areas of law and practices, researching points of law, and directing fee earners to appropriate sources.
  • Managing the firm's knowledge resources and knowledge intranet
  • Assisting in identifying business development opportunities arising from knowledge already in or captured or created by the firm
  • Liaising with heads of dept to identify knowledge and training needs for fee earners and staff
  • Liaising with managers at appraisal time to identify personal development training needs
  • Preparation of bespoke bulletins and legislation updates for clients
  • Other ad-hoc projects from time to time.
The Candidate
  • The successful applicant will be a senior qualified lawyer with a keen interest in learning and development. He/she will have experience in a large corporate firm environment and/or PSL with relevant experience working for a high-profile organization with 5 years + experience.

Salary will be commensurate with experience. * Although the role is intended to be full time, work can be performed on a hybrid basis per firm policy. The role might also suit a senior lawyer who wishes to change to a 4-day week, and the firm will adopt an open-minded approach.
