The Business Intelligence and Insights Analyst in the Data and Analytics function of the company will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making processes. This role will focus on leveraging data analytics to provide actionable insights, optimize financial performance, and support strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, utilizing advanced analytics tools to transform data into meaningful insights that enhance operational efficiency and business growth.

1. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Extract, clean, and analyze financial data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making processes and provide actionable recommendations.

2. Business Intelligence Development:

  • Design and implement business intelligence solutions to improve data accessibility and usability for the finance team.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate and streamline data sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting platforms

3. Financial Insights and Strategic Support:

  • Provide deep dive analysis on financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes with robust data analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Assist in developing financial models to evaluate business scenarios and guide strategic planning.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with finance, operations, and other departments to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Communicate findings and insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders through presentations and reports.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on business intelligence tools and best practices within the finance function.

5. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence, data analytics, and finance.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentor and train team members on data analytics tools and techniques as needed.

Requirements for this role

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a business intelligence, data analysis, or finance analytics role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
