What You Will Achieve
Risk Management & Compliance (RM&C) is a global functional team within Global Business Services. The RM&C Senior Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to assess, maintain and optimize our control environment. Your breadth of knowledge on internal or external business challenges will help us improve our products, processes and services. Your will guide us to lead projects by meeting objectives and preparing forecasts for resource requirements. Your risk-taking ability will help us advance new concepts and methodologies. You will provide technical guidance and oversight to team members and help in problem solving. It is your hard work and focus that will make Pfizer ready to achieve new milestones and help patients across the globe.
How You Will Achieve It
Support Record to Report (R2R) Tower in all compliance and controls related matters
Serve as compliance subject matter expert (SME) for stakeholders
Assist in assessing impacts to controls of new initiatives, transformation, or other changes to the controls environment
Perform proactive risk reviews to identify opportunities for controls enhancements or continuous improvements
Coordinate audits, both internal and external, including development of any remediation plans
Assist in SOX Survey / SOX Certification process
Participate in training for stakeholders on compliance related matters
Evaluate control impacts of any errors or prior period adjustments
Support stakeholders in development, management and testing of Business Continuity Plans
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or equivalent
Proven professional experience in external auditing, internal auditing, accounting, finance, SEC Reporting
Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm and/or financial reporting capacity within a large multi-national company
Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and pronouncements from the SEC and PCAOB
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong business acumen and professionalism with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues in all functions and levels
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Nice-to-Have
Relevant pharmaceutical experience
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Public accounting experience
Shared service experience
