Role Summary

To work with the Finance & Management team in maximizing returns & achieve overall Site & Group objectives/targets. To assist with the financial accounting process, management accounting process and assist with the monitoring and implementation of accounting controls. This role reports to the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities

Produce weekly and monthly management accounts, engaging with internal business units for insightful analysis of manufacturing operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end financial statements, and audit files.
- Collaborate with the Finance Team to uphold a high standard of professional service, leveraging accounting expertise and analytical prowess.
- Supervise finance personnel, setting targets, and providing mentorship for junior staff to achieve team and individual objectives.
- Assist in routine finance tasks, ensuring compliance with statutory and company regulations, such as payments, payroll, and documentation.
- Optimize current IT systems for efficient control and reporting processes, actively contributing to system enhancements.
- Provide support to the Financial Controller on reporting, ad hoc queries, and project assignments.

Requirements

Qualified member of ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial or management accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to system and process improvement.
- Deep understanding of the business environment, processes, and policies.
- Excellent team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-motivated individual with a flexible mindset, capable of meeting deadlines while adapting to evolving role requirements.
