Process Technician

Collaborate with the Lead Technician and team members to elevate the company's assets to peak performance levels.

Main Areas of Responsibility

1. Injection Moulding Process Oversight:

Manage start-up, running, and shutdown of injection moulding processes safely to achieve production targets.

Ensure product quality, meeting customer volume, yield, and material cost goals.

2. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:

Take ownership of process escalations, utilizing a systematic approach to root cause problem-solving.

Timely resolution of issues through effective troubleshooting.

3. Tool Set-up and Changeover Optimization:

Optimize tool set-up and changeover activities to meet production targets efficiently.

4. Process Development:

Support process engineer in developing new processes set up, proof of concept, and validation runs for existing and new tools.

Collaborate on production and prototype tools.

5. Documentation and Compliance:

Ensure completion and accuracy of required manufacturing documentation.

Uphold compliance with GMP in all practices, recording events and processes.

6. Continuous Improvement:

Support continuous improvement initiatives and projects.

Collaborate with quality personnel to promptly address and rectify any issues.

7. Training and Skill Development:

Support the development of documentation, training, and work instruction activities within injection moulding.

Facilitate cross-training of personnel across Injection Moulding programmes site-wide.

8. Safety and Quality:

Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.

Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP and all learnings from training events.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

OEE > 87%

Quality rate > 99%

Availability > 95%

Performance > 95%

Scrap < 1%

Skills and Experience:

Courses completed/experience in injection moulding is an advantage (training provided).

General knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Experience in a factory environment is advantageous.

Willingness to travel globally to provide technical support.

Analytical approach to problem-solving.

Self-motivated, high energy, positive attitude with an initiative for timely completion of tasks.

Competencies:

Understanding of good manufacturing practices.

Familiarity with PM and TPM.

Ability to lead by teaching.

Solid written and spoken English skills.

Terms of Employment:

Contract: Permanent – 6 months probation

Hours: 40-hour week – Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm

Start Date: As soon as possible

Benefits: Healthcare, Pension, and Death in Service once successfully completing a minimum 6-month probationary period.
