Gas Networks Ireland Design Engineer - Compressors

Gas Networks Ireland operates and maintains Ireland's national gas network, ensuring convenient and reliable energy supply for over 706,000 homes and businesses. The Role:

  • Design projects from first principles and manage the design process effectively
  • Act as Lead Designer for internal projects and provide input on outsourced designs
  • Support the design process for operational works and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop procedures for materials guidance and compliance with regulatory controls
  • Coordinate technical services and resources, ensuring sustainability within the design process
  • Comply with statutory conditions and contribute to ongoing competency initiatives

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 3 years' post-graduation experience in an Engineering role
  • Experience in natural gas, process industry, or utilities preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with a proactive approach to learning and improvement
  • Strong understanding of engineering design process and process safety
  • Knowledge of H&S standards, risk management systems, and relevant Gas Standards
