Food Safety & Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

As the Food Safety & Quality Manager, you will oversee various aspects including Production, Storage, Transport, supplier and product approval, and more. The key responsibilities for this role comprise:

  • Implementation and Management of Food Safety Systems as per regulations and standards such as FSSC 22000
  • Co-ordination with Regulatory Authorities and Legal compliance including audits
  • Managing supplier and product approval process
  • Alignment of Management Team with FS&Q goals
  • Definition and Management of finished product quality
  • Conducting Audits for compliance and resolving issues
  • Providing guidance on Food Safety training requirements and overseeing training programmes
  • Resolving operational issues and Consumer Complaints
  • Handling customer FSQ and production information requests efficiently
  • Managing site hygiene and pest control
  • Reporting on FSQ performance against targets

Additionally, you will collaborate on projects with the FSQ Team to enhance FSQ initiatives within the business and influence a strong Food Safety culture.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Essential qualification in Science/Food Science
  • Technical Quality expertise
  • Knowledge of HACCP/Food Safety Management systems
  • Experience in QMS implementation and management, with familiarity in GFSI standards like BRC, FSSC 22000, etc.
  • Attributes of flexibility, problem-solving, quick learning, strong communication, and organizational skills
  • Must hold a Full Driver's License and have access to own car
