What is the opportunity?

To represent the customer at all stages of the BOI digital journey with an emphasis on the Home Buying experience. The role will be responsible for putting the customer at the heart of our processes and challenging BOI to lead with a design-first methodology. Support the Banks strategy to be customer-focused

In two words, the challenge

In this role, you will:

Be integral to the wider Home Buying workstream and Design team, and proficient in user-centred design methodologies, including user research and Service Design approaches.

  • Be an accomplished researcher with experience of both face-to-face and remote testing methods
  • Be able to be a problem solver and contribute to projects as an SME
  • Understand and design customer journeys using Service Design methods
  • Work with partners across product, business and technology teams as an individual contributor to outline changes
  • Take ownership for designing, conducting and analysing user-centred design research in a timely manner
  • Concept high-level ideas for improvements to digital journeys and interfaces
What will make you stand out:

Conducting and moderating usability/ UX methodologies (all types, particularly one-on-one) as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis. You will be presenting usability standards and rationales clearly and efficiently'

Strong oral and written communication, presentation and analytical skills, experience in working with cross-functional teams as well as applying and running user testing methodologies

The Design team's responsibility is growing across the bank's digital real estate. This is big, and given the scale of the task, we believe that the technological challenge and the enterprise-scale opportunity will offer an outstanding attraction to the right candidates

As we move deeper into the development of a design culture, including ethnographic research and customer journey mapping, we're standing up a specific design function within Home Buying to help shape every customer journey we deliver.
