Senior Risk Manager (project not enterprise)

The project :

Mace are looking for a Risk Manager to join our project controls team and work on large-scale and complex Infrastructure projects in Dublin.

You'll be responsible for:

Managing and directs Clients, consultants, contractors, project team on assigned commission(s) on all risk management matters.Accountable for the risk management performance on their assigned commission(s).Creates/designs effective risk management framework(s)/strategy(s) on assigned commission(s).Partnering with clients meeting their expectations and building strong professional relationships.Providing expert advice and support to Project/Programme teams in the administration of the risk process, particularly with respect to the risks to achievement of key project objectives and escalation of risks.Facilitating and driving the delivery of risk workshops.Working with Project Managers to recognise opportunities and mitigations to minimise risk exposure.Accountable for ensuring risk mitigation action plans are developed, risk and action owners appointed and that project plans are updated accordingly and monitored.Leading and directing the delivery of Project/Programme Quantitative Risk Analysis (cost and time).Comments on the adequacy of contingency as part of the regular reporting cycle as required.Developing and delivering monthly risk reports, externally to the client and internally to the project team.Ensuring all activities/operations are carried out in line with Mace Control Centre, Client requirements and prevailing legislation.Providing line management to more junior risk managers and other Project/Programme staff as required.Utilising expertise to mentor and assist the personal and career development of junior members of risk team.Leading the integration of risk with PMO and Planning disciplines.Supporting the HUB Risk Lead with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.

You'll need to have:

Good understanding of construction projects, decencies and interfaces within the project lifecycleDeep domain knowledge of providing risk leadership in one or more sectors (e.g. rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, hospitals).You have a degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the construction, programme, project or commercial management disciplines. you have achieved or are working towardsExcellent working knowledge of current methodologies & tools related to managing projects (e.g. MS Excel, Risk Hive, PRA, ARM, Primavera P6).Infrastructure and complex project procurement experience.Membership / Fellow / Certified Fellow status with one or more professional institutions.

You'll also have:

Ability to persuade & influence clients, consultants, suppliers & colleagues.You are extremely collaborative, with ability to build excellent working relationships and have very high political sensitivity and ethics.Excellent attention to detail & able to validate & check risk management inputs, recording & reports produced, providing basic commentary & analysis.You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
