Senior PLSQL Engineer
What does a successful Senior PLSQL Engineer do at Fiserv?

As a Senior PLSQL Engineer you will understand our customers needs, work within a highly skilled scrum team designing and developing core features on our Merchant Acquiring platform.

You will be responsible for developing high quality new features that provide large business value to our global Merchant Acquiring platform.

You will have deep database knowledge and have good knowledge of both SQL and PLSQL.

You will also get exposure to progressive technologies and challenges as we continue to modernize our platform towards a micro-services architecture and work towards a Cloud Native ecosystem.

What you will do?

Actively participate in one of our high performing Scrum Teams
Develop high quality PLSQL code on our core Acquiring platform.
Develop unit tests for all code developed on the platform.
Convert detailed EPICs and User Stories into application solutions in our Scaled Agile Framework.
Acquire the knowledge necessary to support all platform components and troubleshoot any issues relating to those components
Play a key role in improving processes, procedures and automation of our software development process.
Participate in determining standards and best practices around code development.

What you need to have?

Expert hands-on PLSQL development knowledge with a minimum of 7 years experience.
Strong SQL skills and relational database experience.
Basic Unix/Linux experience
Positive Can Do attitude and a good team player with good communication skills.
Experience of Unit Testing and working with large data sets.
University Degree or equivalent industry recognized qualification.
Working knowledge of SDLC tools such as: Jenkins, Rundeck, Gitlab source control.

What would be great to have?

Experience in the financial services Industry and ideally payments.
Basic knowledge of Java or Python.
Experience with Atlassian Toolset (JIRA/Confluence).
Experience with basic Python or Java programming.
Experience with Rest Assured/APIs or microservices.
Basic Unix/Linux experience.
