About the role
As we continue to develop our investment offering and work on our sustainability goals, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new position in the investment team in Davy. In the role, the successful candidate will:
- Work within the Investment Team to help ensure recommendations are in line with sustainability objectives.
- Coordinate and further develop the sustainability assessments of our investment products and portfolios.
- Coordinate our engagement plan for third party managers.
- Undertake sustainability data and investment analysis projects related to our responsible investment offering.
- Attend third party manager meetings and conduct research to critically assess their approach to sustainability.
- Be responsible for maintaining and updating our responsible investing procedures, through keeping up to speed with industry best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a central point of contact for investment-related sustainability data analysis and reporting
- Prepare investment communications, including internal and external publications and presentations.
- Act as a point of contact for queries from internal stakeholders on sustainability matters and responsible investment offering.
About you
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
- A business / finance / engineering / science / law /research-related degree or masters. CFA charter would be a plus.
- 3-6 years' experience in financial or professional services.
- Interest in and understanding of investments and financial markets.
- Knowledge and experience of sustainability and sustainability-related regulation (SFDR, CSRD etc.) desirable.
- High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and ability to critically analyse both quantitative and qualitative information.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and across wider internal and external stakeholders.
- Good risk awareness and exemplary ethical standards.
- Broad information technology capability, including a high level of competence in Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
The position set out above is defined as a "Controlled Function (CF)" role, namely CF3, CF4, Section 20 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 and Schedule 1 of the Regulations (S.I. No. 437 of 2011) as amended. In accordance with Section 21 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 and the Fitness and Probity Standards 2014, any offer of employment is conditional upon you demonstrating that you meet the Fitness & Probity requirements, applicable to this position. The role is also subject to the Minimum Competency Code and therefore there is a requirement to hold, or be willing to take the APA (Regulation & Investment) or (Pensions) or Registered Stockbroker or QFA exams.
