OverviewManager, GPC - Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering | Connecting Ireland's Top Talent with Leading Organizations– Marine & Civil Engineering Consultancy in Ireland is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join their team.This is an office-based role focused on the design of complex marine and coastal structures including quay walls, piers, retaining walls and coastal protection works.The successful candidate will have strong experience in structural or applied structures design, ideally with exposure to marine or heavy civil works.Base pay range is provided by Global Professional Consultants.Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.This is a fantastic opportunity to lead technical marine infrastructure projects.Sample Projects:Quay wall and pier infrastructure upgrades – values €10M–€100M+Major port expansion works and marine civil structuresCoastal protection and defence schemes around IrelandStructural strengthening and refurbishment of existing marine assetsResponsibilitiesLead the design of complex marine and coastal structures, including quay walls, piers, retaining walls and coastal protection works.Contribute to technical design and analysis of concrete, steel, and piling elements.Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts and mentor junior staff.Engage with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.RequirementsDegree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.5–10+ years' post-graduate experience in structural or marine infrastructure design.Chartered Engineer status (or working towards Chartered).Strong structural design and analysis skills – concrete, steel and piling.Experience in Eurocodes and relevant Irish design standards.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design and mentor junior staff.Proficiency in CAD / BIM and structural analysis software (e.g. STAAD, Plaxis).Salary / BenefitsPaid membership fees to two professional bodies.Life Assurance & Permanent Health Insurance.Excellent CPD and clear career progression.Office-based with exposure to major national infrastructure projects.If you are a Senior Structural Designer considering a career move, please send your CV or contact Jade for a confidential discussion.No CV will be sent to any client without your consent.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeIndustriesCivil Engineering and Engineering ServicesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Global Professional Consultants by 2xWe're unlocking community knowledge in a new way.Experts add insights directly into each article, started with the help of AI.#J-*****-Ljbffr
